Animals

In the Singapore Zoo you'll find more than 3,600 animals of more than 400 species, including a fantastic primate collection. The major advantage of the park is that it's what is known as an "open zoo" with the animals only separated from the visitors by natural barriers.

Among the most characteristic animals are the white tigers and white rhinos.

Breakfast with Orangutans

What better way to begin the day than with a nutritious breakfast alongside these noble primates? Well, that's just what happens at Singapore Zoo's famous breakfast with orangutans!

If you want to take part in this unique experience, you'll have to pay 35 SGD (US$ 25.70) (25 SGD (US$ 18.40) for children from 6 to 12) and get up early. The orangutans eat breakfast at 9 am, and trust us, they're not waiting for anybody!

And at the same time, you can see the elephants bathe, among other surprises...

Perfect for Children

If you're travelling with children, the Singapore zoo is a fantastic option. Its great location, the variety of wildlife and the activities on offer make it a bargain.

If you want to complete the experience, you can also visit the Night Safari when the zoo closes, it's another one of the city's unmissable experiences.

Getting to the Zoo

If you want to make your own way there, you can get there by bus, although the journey time is over an hour, and not worth it in our opinion. Another way to get there is by taxi, or using the direct bus for the Bus Hub.

The price of this bus is 6 SGD (US$ 4.40) per journey and per person. It leaves Singapore at 9 am, 10 am and 1 pm. You can see the schedules on the company website.

The price of a taxi is between 15 SGD (US$ 11) and 25 SGD, depending on the time, and the journey time is 20-30 minutes.
